Scope
Engel’s scope on this project covered the full construction of a community sports complex, including 14 tennis courts, a turf football field with a track, a turf soccer field, retaining walls, underground detention basins, and site features including bleachers. The work was substantial in scale: 100,000 of CY mass grading, 10,000 LF of utilities, 200,000 SF of turf field construction, and 60,000 SF of retaining wall — a true end-to-end sitework package.
Challenges Overcome
An aggressive construction schedule, complex subcontractor coordination, and restricted site logistics demanded precise planning and real-time accountability at every level. With five self-perform crews operating on site simultaneously, keeping work moving safely and efficiently required disciplined communication. That communication wasn’t just important, it was the difference between a project that stalls and one that delivers — and we delivered.
