    To work at Engel, you will need a valid driver’s license and a pre-employment drug screen, with additional requirements based on your position.

    Engel Excavating is signatory to several unions, each of which provides healthcare and retirement benefits to our hardworking members. Our non-union members have 100% company-paid health insurance and competitive paid time off.

  • What are Engel’s typical hours and shift expectations?

    On the jobsite, we typically work 8- to 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work. Our projects are primarily outdoors, with some travel required.

    Safety is part of our culture at Engel. We’ve integrated safety management software on all projects, require our crews to wear proper PPE, conduct daily safety discussions, and provide ongoing training to comply with OSHA requirements and ensure everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.
